About The Author
Scott Hayes is an Army veteran, author, single father, avid Boston Red Sox fan, motorcyclist, and passionate supporter of the Jewish people, Zionism, and the State of Israel.
Raised in Brookline, Massachusetts where Jewish and Catholic families lived side by side, Scott developed an early admiration for Jewish culture, tradition, resilience, and community. Those experiences would go on to shape much of his worldview and spiritual journey later in life.
His 11 years serving in the U.S. Army further deepened his understanding of history, faith, and moral responsibility. Time spent overseas, exposure to different cultures, and visits to Holocaust sites in Europe left a lasting impact and strengthened his connection to the Jewish community and his belief in the importance of a secure Jewish homeland.
Over time, that connection evolved through friendships, study, travel, and personal reflection. A trip to Israel became a major spiritual turning point that profoundly influenced his faith, identity, and sense of purpose.
In 2024, Scott’s life changed dramatically after he was violently attacked during a pro-Israel rally, thrusting him into national headlines and a highly public legal battle. The experience tested him personally and spiritually while reinforcing the convictions and values that had guided him throughout his life.
Outside of writing and advocacy, Scott enjoys spending time with his daughter, riding motorcycles throughout New England, watching Red Sox baseball, and engaging in conversations about faith, history, culture, and current events.
Through his memoir and public speaking, Scott shares a deeply personal story about resilience, conviction, spiritual growth, Zionism, and the importance of standing up for what is right, even when doing so comes at a personal cost.
